Standing here, at the edge of the bridge across the ages, I am
undone. The vastness of the unending horizon sends wonder
like goose bumps across my skin and my mind and my heart
and my thoughts and my soul decry the darkness and yet still I
step, embracing the quiet mystery as a light appears beneath
my feet. This bridge sways, rocking with the wind and each
step falling harder than the last. I know my hands will raise
and I know my heart will sink into my stomach but I know that
both will once again be centered, wholly brought to that same,
mysteriously quiet place of peace, where I know your name,
too.
